Welcome to the Education and Outreach web page. It is our mission to disseminate information about Colorado native plants and natural landscapes both to Colorado Native Plant Society members and to the people of Colorado. We work with businesses, institutions, agencies, and other societies. In so doing, the Education and Outreach Committee publicizes the objectives, functions, and activities of the Colorado Native Plant Society through brochures, a speaker’s bureau, and various other media.
The Colorado Native Plant Society’s Education and Outreach Committee specializes in staffing educational outreach booths, presenting a variety of slide programs, and leading interpretive hikes that focus on plant identification and general ecology. Please email Committee Chair Megan Bowes (or call her at 303-561-4883) if you would like the Education and Outreach Committee to speak to your group or otherwise support your event.
We hope you will join us for our
Education and Outreach activities.
The Committee is currently looking for CoNPS members to help staff our outreach booth at several upcoming horticultural events. This is a great opportunity to share information about native plants and what our Society has to offer! Please email Megan Bowes if you would like to volunteer at any of the events below or for further information about how you can assist the Education and Outreach Committee.
