Welcome to the Colorado Native Plant Society web site where you will find details about the objectives, functions, and activities of the Society.  Our membership consists of gardeners, hikers, botanical professionals, and all plant lovers who want to enjoy and preserve the native plants of Colorado.  We hope you will join us.

Check each chapter's page for programs and field trips, all of which are free and open to everyone.  Browse the entire web site for native plant information, links to other botanical web sites, annual meeting information, and our bookstore and newsletter. Be sure to look at the "What's New" page and the daily botanical news updates on "Botanical News".

Some technical notes: This site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024x768 and a recent version of Internet Explorer.  All web pages are checked in the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, and Safari for proper display and every effort is made to correct display errors.  Older versions of all browsers and some versions of Macintosh browsers may not display the web pages correctly; these errors often cannot be corrected without distorting the appearance of the pages in the new PC browsers.  If you notice errors on a page, please email Society member and Webmaster, Al Schneider.

The Colorado Native Plant Society web site is designed using Dreamweaver 8 which allows for full compliance with the latest international web site standards for fonts, colors, handicap accessibility, etc.  Some Dreamweaver design techniques and tools are compatible only with the latest versions of Internet browsers.
