Objectives:

  • Educate persons in all aspects of the Colorado flora, including not only the flowering plants (angiosperms) but also the conifers (gymnosperms), ferns (pteridophytes), mosses (bryophytes), lichens and mushrooms and any other topic with bearing on the plants and plant communities of Colorado.
  • Present specialized botanical training not available anywhere at any price.
  • Provide botanical activities during the winter when field trips are impractical (workshop season is generally the last week of September to the last week of April).
  • Have recognized experts as workshop leaders and coordinate with other CONPS committees to distribute information presented.
